This photo is the most successful (in my opinion)because it has a feeling of a frozen moment, perhaps the "decisive moment", to quote Bresson. There is something about the lean of the figure that implies movement. The lights on either side of the "person" create a feeling of balance but also tension. They seem to pull the figure, which appears to be very flexible, in different directions.
